Roeland Hemsteede

Roeland Hemsteede is contributor at the International Security Observer (ISO). As an Africanist by training, Roeland’s primary interests lie with security issues and conflicts in Africa. Issues relating to states that were formerly part of the Soviet Union is also a region he likes to explore. For the International Security Observer he will focus on issues with a particular African character. Roeland holds a bachelor degree in Communication systems, a masters degree in African studies and is now taking a research master in African Studies at Leiden University. He is fluent in English and Dutch mother tongue.
